About

What makes photography a strange invention is that its primary raw materials are light and time.” - John Berger

My work primarily focuses on people. From fashion to travel, I work with environments and the people who live in them to reflect a tangible idea of what it means to be part of there. Simply put I tell stories. I started out as a writer, working in poetry and creative fiction, but a boy’s gotta eat and I’m a terrible bartender; so I started pursuing photography as something more than a hobby.

Photography for me is an instant culmination of years of progression, not just for me, but for the subject. Products that take years to move from ideas to physical objects and societies that have grown through generations to be who they are right now. I’m lucky to have met all these experiences, and to have some way of keeping a visual memory of them. I work with different mediums, from film to high-resolution digital imagery to capture the heart of whatever project.

Filmmaking was a natural progression from photography for me, but 5 years of work taught me that it’s a very independent discipline and one that I feel even more at home in. In 2022 I directed my first documentary, The Wake, which is currently being viewed in a handful of International Festivals.
